Easter Morning

 Easter baskets were special this year.  Macy Carol you got your first daily devotion and a shirt i found a spring market that says on the back "I may not be perfect but Jesus thinks I am to die for".     I just loved it and thought it was perfect for a  Easter Gift.  Lily you got dresses and a  new book and of course,  our favorite Cadbury Creme Eggs!!!!

Smile Train 5K :)

My office hosted a 5K.   So,  your dad registered to run and  you girls and I signed up to work the water station.  But when we got there Macy decided she wanted to run.  I was trying to explain to you how long 3 miles was knowing you had never ran that far before.  Plus,   you were not prepared to run you had jeans, a long sleeve shirt and some of your old play shoes on that day.   But then comes Dr. Lauren she convinced me that you could run from the 1/2 mark were we would be serving water.  It was still longer than you had run in the past.   So,  off she goes getting you  prepared with  new Bartlett Pediatric Shirts  so you would be more comfortable for the race.
 
   In  the picture you were serving water and then your dad comes along and pours water on both of you as he was passing.    After you dad passed the water station you took off I  ran behind you but you were much faster so i told you to go ahead.   note...(Your dad did not know you were running until you run through the finish line).   He was so proud of you as was I.       Since then,  you have been interesting in running and we have been timing you.   You can run a 10 min mile.    We have signed you up for your 1st real race the Go lucy Go race 5k.  That day I learned a Great Parenting  lesson.   Don't  worry about  technicalities but  "To say Yes more"!!!

Lily now that your in Kindergarden you have started writing notes all over the house.  Your Dad and I thinks it is so funny reading your notes and here is a picture of one you left on your door.  It says Lily Room Closed!!!

  This was so not posed that is what makes it so Great!  This year you both decided to exchange gifts but it has to be homemade.  I think that was our Theme this year.  Homemade trees and homemade gifts.

Merry Christmas

We LOVE Christmas at our house.    We started begging dad around the first week in November to put up the Christmas Tree but every year he says after Thanksgiving that we need to celebrate Thanksgiving and be Thankfully First.   So of course, after Thanksgiving we got to put up the Tree but this year dad wanted to have a Christmas Tree just like the ones he had when he was a little boy.  This year we got our first  real tree and had homemade ornaments on it.   It was interesting for sure!  Your dad loved it so much  we ended up making a deal  every other year he gets his homemade tree.

           Macy Carol you wanted a Voice activated Journal  and Lily you wanted a guitar.
           This  Year Macy Carol your  Papaw decided  you were old enough for your first gun.  Thank
           goodness it was BB gun.  You just never know with your papaw.

This is our normal view of Lily in the Living room.  Poor Lily, you just don't have a booty so your pants, shorts and especially your pj's  just don't stay on your skinny little body.    I had to put this on my blog because this is what we see daily at the Glass house and I never what to forget it.

It's Halloween

 Macy Carol this year you wanted to be Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz and Lily you wanted to be a Black Cat.    You got to wear your costumes to school and you both were so excited you could hardly go to sleep the night before.   The night of Halloween we started early as usually and i think your dad enjoys trick or treating better than ya'll do.   Everything is a competition to him you will soon figure out as you grow up.   After about 3 hrs of trick or treating you both were exhausted but dad was still  on a mission to be the family with the most candy.    He is the Greatest!!

Munford Celebrate Art Contest

In your art class at school your assignment was to draw your favorite thing about Munford and you drew the town gazebo.  So Surprise--Surprise you got 2nd place in the 3rd grade.   They hung your picture in the town library.  We were so proud of you!!!

Sports Day

Munford Elementary had Sports Day.   That was very easy for you girls since your dad Loves the Yankees.  It all started many many years ago your Pop loved the Yankees and so in turn your dad grew up watching the Yankees.   So Macy Carol and Lily you automatically  become Yankees fans.  You girls were so cute i could not help myself from taking pictures of you walking to school.

Miss. Lily,
     You had a Fun birthday party.  You decided on a water park birthday party so your dad and I converted our backyard into a water park.  We blow up pools in the yard and had a waterside.  We cooked hamburgers and hotdogs and of course, all your favorite chips and dips.   You told me you wanted a sunflower birthday cake and I also made butterfly, ladybugs, bubble-bees, and dragonfly cupcakes to go with it.     My cakes may not look perfect but they always taste good.  You got so many fun gifts but you big gift was a NEW BIKE!!
Now you can be like your big sister!!
